Bios - Jim Nourse, Ph.D.

Jim Nourse, Ph.D. received his doctoral degree from the University of Tennessee in Clinical Psychology in 1975. He has served as Staff Psychologist at the V.A. Medical Center in Hampton, Virginia, as Assistant Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the Eastern Virginia Medical School, and since 1980 has been in private practice and liscensed in North Carolina, Virginia, and Colorado.

Dr. Nourse has devoted both his personal and professional life to exploring and integrating mind, body and spirit. Through years of academic research and study across many different cultures, he has identified tools and techniques which produce effective results in increasing the quality of life. Dr. Nourse's work with both individuals and groups blends these success oriented technologies. His programs contain many practical steps which can be implemented each day. His presentations are engaging and entertaining, highlighted with his own personal examples.

A certified Holotropic Breathworks practitioner, Dr. Nourse takes an intensive approach to psychological growth. With his wife Judith, a Registered Psychiatric Nurse, Dr. Nourse has facilitated numerous workshops which regularly provide transformational emotional experiences for his participants. You can count on his extensive academic and professional experience to provide a program which can change lives.
